Omigosh my computer hates me. Help with video editing software continuously crashing?

Okay. I downloaded the 30 day trial of Adobe Premiere Pro a couple of days ago. It took over two hours to download, but when it was all done, it wouldn’t work and still doesn’t. Every time I open up Premiere Pro, I start a new project, and the editing window opens and loads, but then it mysteriously crashes. It’s done this multiple times now and I’m starting to get flustered. I have Windows Movie Maker and I decided to give it a shot (I downloaded the Premiere Pro because I don’t like Windows Movie Maker all that much, but if I have to, I’ll use it). So WMM opens and loads and all, but this software stays up. That made me glad, until I tried to import the videos. Then IT crashes. Help!?

Sounds like not enough RAM, not a good enough video card or something else in your computer just can’t handle video editing. What’s in your computer? Video card, amount of RAM, CPU and speed, version of Windows?
