What equipment do i need for web video production?

I’d like to create some igh quality web videos. I’m fairly happy with visual aspects but I’m keen to get the sound right – had so many issues with this in the past. Can anyone advise on the best way to record sound for video? For a simple interview for example – should i record the sound seperately with a clip on mic and voice recorder and then sync to the video at editing stage? What is the best equipment to use for this and what would be the best software to sync the audio with the video (easiest!) – premier pro?
