Home Studio Software (guitar/voice)?

Hi everyone whos reading this. I’m looking to get a piece of software that will enable me to record the songs i write and edit them. I want to be able to lay different audio layers on top of each other and have the option of burning to disc. I know i could look this up on google but everyone says their product is best so im trying to find out from people who use the software.
