Easy and good video editing software.?

Hey I was wondering if there is a video editing software that is really easy to deal with…
Has really cool effects..
Nice title sequences
and many more aspects.
I’m only 13 and I tired pinnacle…and it freaking sucks…It annoys me sooo much because it literally clips out the important parts of my videos and that means the video the video turns out crappy…
I just want something easy…that I could figure out in just couple hours…I don’t have the best camera…which comes to my next question

are there any good video cameras(digital) which I can use to make a clear video…because I have a crappy small 100$ one
Aipetek
white
you can find it in many stores…It really sucks…I want a video camera that has an actual clear picture…

So not so expensive video editing software
and same goes for the camera…which has the things I mentioned up there.
Any products?

First, about editing software. I think what you mean by really cool effects and nice title sequences are effects that are similar to what you see in theatres and movie trailers. I guess the short answer is, there aren’t any. Here’s the long answer. Most Hollywood movies don’t use pre-made effects from software; rather the titles, effects, etc. are all custom designed and made. I agree, Pinnacle really sucks. I have to use it at school and it takes all my willpower not to gouge out my eyeballs with bananas. Premiere Elements and Vegas might be good choices, and they a lot of effects, but using these often results in cheesy or just really bad looking videos.

With that said, there are a lot of ways to make your titles look better. You usually can’t go wrong with an Arial Black, all caps, and depending on what you’re after, italicized as well. Almost every computer has this font and it is an easy and effective way to improve your titles. Also, try to stick to simple fades.

What I really suggest you getting is After Effects. “I’ve heard about AE before but I’m just a 13 year old. Where the heck am I supposed to get that much money?” Don’t worry, I was 13 once (about three years ago, in fact). Talk to me about this, and I can hook you up with an “education” version of AE. I promise, it’s a lot cheaper. icon wink Digital Video Editing Software Pinnacle

Now what you should do now while you’re waiting to get AE is to go check out AK’s (that’s Andrew Kramer to you) website.

Now, about that camera. When I was in 6th grade, my uncle gave me a camera. It was by Aiptek. I remember shooting 320×240 10 fps videos on the incredible 16MB built-in flash memory and thinking, “Wow, this is really good [at creating incredibly bad video].” But then I really became interested in filmmaking in 8th grade, and for lack of a story and for want of shooting something, I bought a $50 512MB CF card and shot all of our Cedar Point trip. Then, I came home, and I put everything into Movie Maker, and edited it so it went with some indie rock songs I had. And actually, other than the horrible quality, it looked pretty good (I’m not being sarcastic this time). Not award-winning, but good enough that you wouldn’t think that someone edited it in Movie Maker. So I guess what I’m saying is, don’t get too bummed out by your lack of equipment. The important thing is to shoot and make stuff, even if it looks really bad; it’s the content that matters, after all (think of Youtube).

Ok so I kind of digressed but here’s THE camera you need to get: the Canon HV20. If you’ve ever heard of 24p, then you’ll know what the fuss is about. If not, well, look it up. Let’s just say the quality’s pretty good, even as demonstrated in this Youtube video:

Or here’s the HD version:

’nuff said. Er…watched. Typed. What ev.

Hey, feel free to contact me to talk about filmmaking. I’m constantly trying to meet new people so hopefully we can help each other out. And hopefully this helps!
