If I try to open an MP4 file made by a Sony Webbie in Sony Vegas Platinum 6, it won’t open. (Something made me think they would work together.)The Webbie files are H264. I have Sony Vegas Studio + DVD creator software. I now have a Sony HD webbie cam that records in mp4 format. Now, when I try to open the mp4 movie files, it gives me an error, then tells me I don’t have quicktime on my computer. I’ve installed the newest version available from apple. I then installed the CD that came with the camera and rebooted. I’m STILL unable to open an mp4 file within the Sony Vegas editor. I can watch the clips on the system, just not edit them by the same company that made the camera… And Sony is no help! What am I doing wrong?
