Streaming Video Emails

speed up streaming video with a dial up connection?
i have no complaints about the genral speed of my dial up connection and far as general internet activities such as surfing, chatting, and emailing. but what botheres me is when i go to abc.comto watch the latest episode of my favortie show lost. it takes forever to load, then when it finally does it will play a few seconds, then freeze and stop, play a few more seconds, feeze and stop again, ect. is there any tips and tricks, or programs i could download to speed up streaming video on a dial up connection?
well, no matter how many tips and tricks you receive, no matter how many connection optimizers you run, its still going to play a few seconds, freeze and stop (buffering) and then play a few more seconds. Your best bet to somewhat eliminate this is to upgrade to broadband, whether it be dsl or cable, both of which have become rather inexpensive nowadays. But if you refuse to upgrade, or cannot upgrade due to financial restraints (trust me, i’ve been there, i only upgraded to broadband about 5 months ago) you can do what i used to do: go to the page, let the video buffer and play (turn off the monitor and speakers) and then go cook something. Then come back, press play again and eat while i watch the episode. That is your safest and best bet since most of today’s online videos are meant largely for the broadband community, and I have a feeling that dial up will be phased out completely within the next 10-20 years (yes, its a broad scope).
