how come i cant open .prproject files with premiere pro?

ok so i am in a video class in high school and we are filimg a video and i want to edit it at ho,e.so i decide to email the video clip to myse;f and just open it when i get home.so i go and open it and i have adobe premiere pro(the same software we have at school) and when i open it it says ‘ where is the filename.avi located and i dont udnerstand what that means. Please help me i really need help

When you are opening the file at school it’s looking for the AVI that you were using to edit. You have an option there to find this file.

So every time you work at home and then you want to continue at school, you have to copy the project file and also all the files that you were editing.

It’s good to keep them all in one folder
