Good video editing software that’s FREE?

I like editing videos for youtube.
And Microsoft Movie Maker doesn’t have that many good effects..
So i want to download a software that has alot of good effects but is also FREE.
It would be nice if u could list some (or all) of the effects that come with it because i don’t want to download anything that i wont end up liking.

Photobucket is a great web based and FREE editing tools. The software behind it comes from Adobe who make some of the best commercial ($$$) photo and video editors. If you need/want more features downloading VideoSpin or VideoThang are great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. For under $100 you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements.
