Step1.Input AVCHD files to Video Converter for Mac
After install and launch Video Converter for Mac, attach your AVCHD camcorder to your Mac. Then hit “Add File” button on the top to select videos in your camcorder you would like to convert.
Step2.Set the output video formats
In the Profile list, select iMovie supportable video formats as the output video format, such as MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MOV or DV.
Step3. Trimming the source videos
Press “Trim” button to open the trim panel. And trim the video length by dragging the sliders under preview window to set the start and end time.
Step4. Start conversion
After all things are well done, hit “Convert” to start conversion. After conversion, the output folder will open automatically, if you check “Open output folder when conversion finished”.
Start5. Import the output video into iMovie
Launch iMovie, and select “Import” from “File” menu. Then choose the converted videos you wish to import from your project library. Finally click “Open”.
