Are Macs still superior to Windows PCs in the field of video editing?

I know Macs were best in the past for video editing, graphic design,etc. The question is if whether they are still superior today? I have found mixed opinions about this online.I have read that this gap in the video editing field has been closed meaning a PC is the same as a MAC in video editing.If a Mac is superior give me the reasons for this. Is the software or hardware better? Thanks for any info.

I do video editing, 3D scene creation, Photo editing, etc on Mac’s and PC’s. Neither is better or worse. I think it was just what people said with no actual basis for it. If you have a good stable computer with lots of RAM and a fast processor, you’ll have a good experience. A key diff is that my Mac’s have rarely locked up. Whereas I have had more issues with my Windows PC’s but both work fine. I think that’s (OS stability) why many in the industry go for Mac’s. The edge that Apple has is that it makes it’s own editing app that is on par with Premiere (or you can use Premiere). Adobe doesn’t make computers.
