Video Editing Software Mpeg

Whats it called when you turn an MPEG video into images? and where can i get the software to do that?

I want to get a picture out of a video of me bmxing, but whats that called. im trying to find a software like video editing that allows me to do that. Even a trial one, or free. that i can use. tnx

O.K. here is the trick:

If you have Windows Media Player installed actually you CAN get a picture outta ur video.

- First, launch the video and maximize its size.
- Pause the video in the picture you like.(flying whit ur board or smth.. )
- Press the “Capture” button on ur keyboard.
- Start MSPaint and paste what you got!
- All u get is a blank black picture.. yeah I know..
- Minimize Paint and recapture a pic from the same paused pic in
Windows Media Player
- Go back to paint and paste again.
- There you go! who said Windows Media Player can’t capture
pictures?! um.. no one!
