Is there a [free] video editing software that is simple, like Movie Maker, but doesn’t crash so much?

I need a video editing software that
-cuts videos
-can take a picture of the present frame
-able to add audio to
-does not crash! or freeze up on me…
I’m not asking for anything complex, just something simple, kinda like Movie Maker and does not freeze up on you.

VideoPad is the best free program like wmm.
