how do you edit videos to play clips like on you tube?

i dont know why i dont know but i dont so if anyone can help would be great… maybe theres a software i can download? compatible with vista??

Windows Movie Maker is the free software that comes pre-installed with Windows.

It should already be on your computer if you use Windows XP or Windows Vista.

The software uses a timeline interface.

Bascially you import all of your video clips, sounds, pictures, images, etc into the library and then you drag and drop the clips onto the timeline.

You can alter the length of the clips by trimming them or dragging them and then you can preview the video at any time to see what it looks like.

You can drag and drop music on the audio timeline and it will allow you to have a soundtrack.

When you have finished making the video how you want it, you will then create the video, it lets you choose what format your video is going to be for, so you can do it to DVD or you can do it for Internet.

This will create a file that contains all of your edited video.

There are some other products on the market that are more professional like Adobe Premiere but Movie Maker is good to get started.
