How do I take ripped video and edit it into a music video?

I recently acquired software to rip DVDs, in hopes of actually utilizing my Windows movie maker. However, I can’t import any footage at all! When I go to import, the folder where the movie files are kept is empty. I can access them on my computer, and they’re in VOB format. Please help.

I had the exact same problem because I wanted to use a scene within a DVD and edit it in a video editing software for an assignment I had since I was doing a ‘multimedia moving image course’. I have tried them all you name it, and they all had problems whether it was taking way to long to convert or compressing the video quality without giving me the option and much more. By the looks of things the software you acquired might have seemed like the right one but obviously it doesn’t work so its not what you want. In very few words ‘ImToo dvdripper’ is the software you want because you have to convert the VOB format to anything that is readable for windows movie maker e.g. WMV, AVI, MPEG, MPG etc. So really the software you have didn’t do it job properly and ‘Imtoo Dvd ripper’ is what you need. It’s very easy to use and works with all DVDs(and it has all the settings you need in order for you to achieve the output you choose).Good luck
