Video Email Marketing Tool

I am debating between a netbook and notebook..?
My dv9000 stopped booting up and it’s done lol. Now I’m hitting the market and things have changed quite a bit so I need some advice.
I mainly need somebook that is lightweight, EXCELLENT BATTERY LIFE is a MUST, but still has enough tools to be able to complete simple tasks.
I will mainly be using this for notes for school and various internet hobbies (no games or anything like that. pretty much just email and watching videos and whatnot).
Netbooks seem like they have the ability to be the perfect tool for me, but I really don’t think it could be as good as it seems. Any help on that would be great.
Also, if someone could let me know about some notebooks that could accomplish everything I’m trying to do as well that would be great.
Mind you… I am a student who is living on a students budget. I am not cheap by any means, but I am not willing to shell out 2k for a computer (at least not at this point in time!)
Thank you in advance.
a long battery life is provided of laptops they haven’t a dedicated but an integrated graphics card/chip. Netbooks fulfill that requirement without an exception but as they are small the battery is it too (netbooks mostly have 3cell batteries). Netbooks are intended for Sales and Service personal needing a light equippment for queries on the home database if they are abroad.
for you as a student i don’t recommend a netbook because they are too limited. a small notebook with an integrated graphics but fully equipped with all the common stuff is the better choice.
i’m thinking of a notebook like this one with a considerable battery life time of 5h+
