Video Email Online

If I record a video of me playing RuneScape and post it online, am I violating a copyright law?
I was playing Runescape and I found that a macroer was abusing a bug in Jagex’s system to get lots of genie random events. I shot a video of it with Hypercam2 and I put it on google video so I could chow people and find out what was going on with this guy. I just recieved an email today that says the video has been taken down because it is a copyright violation. I did not add music or anything. I only shot the video, and put it online without adding or taking anything away from it. Can I file a complaint to google about this or is it against copyright law to make a video of runescape without Jagex’s permission? I have dozens of other Runescape videos online but none of them have been taken down for copyright law. I am very confused and wish someone could enlighten me about this. Thank you.
Actually, it technically IS copyright law, as you did not have Jagex LTD.’s permission to post it, and more than likely, google administrators did not see any credit given towards Jagex LTD, and since it’s technically their content still, it counts.
YouTube never takes them down though, because Andrew Gower hasn’t contacted them about it, most likely because it gives the game publicity, but if they did contact YouTube about it, then YouTube would have to take the videos down.
If you want to look through the copyright law for the US, go to the first listed site, if you want for the UK, go to the second. Be warned, though, it’s a long long long document.
Also, in the UK copyright document, there is this section I want to direct you to:
“Restricted acts
It is an offence to perform any of the following acts without the consent of the owner:
Copy the work.
Rent, lend or issue copies of the work to the public.
Perform, broadcast or show the work in public.
Adapt the work.
The author of a work, or a director of a film may also have certain moral rights:
The right to be identified as the author.
Right to object to derogatory treatment.”

…Baby One More Time [ENHANCED CD] $5.98 Debbie Gibson never recorded anything as sexy as Britney Spears’s white-funk smoker “…Baby One More Time.” Unfortunately, neither does the 17-year-old Spears’s debut album contain anything else that remotely approaches that instant hit single. A few of the disc’s cuts are pleasantly catchy, but too much of its space is given over to icky ballads (“E-Mail My Heart”?) and other unconvincing moves … |

Pure 80′s: The DVD $14.30 The 1980s may be remembered for a lot of things–Reagan, Tiananmen Square, the genius of Miami Vice–but music probably won’t be foremost among them. Still, the decade did have its guilty pleasures, some of which can be found right here on this 14-song, 58-minute DVD. ABC (“The Look of Love”), Asia (“Heat of the Moment”), Swing Out Sister (“Breakout”), Night Ranger (“Sister Christian”), Berlin (“N… |

20th Century Masters – The Best of Tears for Fears: The DVD Collection $4.80 Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, a.k.a. Tears for Fears, made potent radio music for the 1980s but traveled a steep learning curve when it came to music videos. Still, their video productions improved markedly with each hit, as demonstrated in this mini-collection of five titles. “Shout” still sounds every bit the catharsis it was meant to be, while its sleepy video is paradoxically and arbitrarily … |

You’ve Got Mail (Deluxe Edition) $2.55 By now, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan have amassed such a fund of goodwill with moviegoers that any new onscreen pairing brings nearly reflexive smiles.
