Does multi=tasking use more laptop battery?

Whenever I use my laptop I usually have about 5-8 internet windows open. I’ll usually be typing emails while video streaming at the same time. My battery doesn’t seem to last very long… could this multi-tasking be the cause and if I just stick to watching videos will it last longer?

no doubt in that
that is obvious that when u use more applications it use more power and so the battery is used more
but the efficient way of using the battery is that
make sure that the power is always plugged in when u use ur laptop
and also make sure its plugged out once ur laptop is fully charged else this over charging cuase the battery life shorten
