Is there a ‘Recession Proof’ Business or ‘Recession Driven’ Business?

During a Recession economy, there is a lot of opportunity. Some businesses are recession proof, and tend to be less affected by the economic turmoil, and others are recession driven, and actually thrive due to the economic recession. I know internet marketing is growing, Google has boasted another quarter of profit. There is this video on youtube about a recession proof and recession driven opportunity, sounds interesting.

There are business that would peak and bottom out at different times during the economic cycle.
Marketing dollars are the softest targets during budget cuts as they are seen to be intangible in terms of the returns they offer.
hence there are 2 ways a business can go with their marketing dollars, cut them or make them more measurable.
Cutting marketing is not the smartest move , which leaves us with one option and that option brings in a lot of revenue for marketing companies.

I’m sure these folks at WSI in the video are seeing that same spike.

the beauty of it is that once a business gets a taste of results on the internet , they will seldom go back to traditional marketing
